Mrs. Heather Middleton

Mrs. Middleton brings to Aspengrove many years of highly successful classroom experience with children of all ages. She received her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Calgary in 1986 with a focus on early childhood education. In 1992 she earned a professional diploma in language arts, and in 1998 graduated from the University of Calgary with her master’s degree in educational research. Her graduate research studied the learning approach of the Reggio Emilia preschools in Italy.

Mrs. Middleton’s experience ranges from teaching in First Nations schools in Ahousat and Anahim Lake to setting up the first full-day kindergarten program at the highly esteemed Meadowridge Independent School in Maple Ridge.  She has taught Kindergarten at Aspengrove from 2003 to the end of the 2009/2010 school year.
