Mr. Macoun’s love for education has led him on several interesting ventures, including a four-year stint teaching in International Schools in Indonesia. In 1993 Mr. Macoun earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Trent University and later received a Diploma of Education from Simon Fraser University in 1997. His teaching specialties are math, science and outdoor education.

Before receiving his teaching certificate, Mr. Macoun worked as an outdoor educator at Collingwood School in Vancouver and in Llanberis, Wales. Mr. Macoun is a certified telemark ski instructor and canoeing instructor.
