Mrs. Sarah Vincent
Kindergarten
Sarah Vincent is a graduate with distinction from the University of Victoria, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology and Psychology. She completed her Bachelor of Education degree at Vancouver Island University in 2007. Mrs. Vincent is experienced in working with young children who have special needs. She was inspired to enter the teaching profession after working as a Behavioural Therapist for children with autism. Mrs. Vincent began at Aspengrove School in 2008 as a Teacher on Call. In 2009/2010, she taught MYP Science and Math. Mrs. Vincent is excited to now be teaching Kindergarten. As a teacher, Mrs. Vincent’s guiding principal is to nurture a classroom in which students feel cared for, safe to take risks, a sense of belonging, intrinsically motivated to pursue learning, and challenged at a level that is right for them. She is an advocate for Play-Based learning in Kindergarten and is passionate about teaching literacy and numeracy.
