Ms. Kristina deJong

Ms. deJong’s dedication to life long inquiry has led her on interesting overseas adventures, including five years of teaching in IBO World Schools in Hong Kong and the Bahamas. In 1998 Ms. deJong earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Victoria and later received a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia in 2000. Her teaching specialties are secondary English and French. She has also taught the PYP for six years and acted as the PYP Coordinator at Kingston International School in Hong Kong.

Ms. deJong has a passion for local and global environmental issues and even worked as a shepherd for the B.C. government’s forest management program. She is continually looking for new ways of “greening” her environment. Her other interests include hiking, writing, singing and playing the piano.
