Our talented and enthusiastic grade 6 & 7 students took part in an independent schools’ track meet yesterday in Nanaimo and we can all be very proud of how they represented Aspengrove. First and foremost, we saw plenty of enthusiasm, team spirit and effort from our team – the very reason we take part in these events! From solid results to personal bests, to standing by the track cheering each other, the Aspengrove Track team were leaders at the event in every way.

We were there for some fun in the sun and to learn from the competitive experience but It was also inspiring to see some very impressive results all day long. The meet finished with the biggest events of the day – the 4X100 relays. In the four races – grade 6 and 7 boys and girls – the Aspengrove speedsters brought home 3 gold and one silver. What an exciting finish to a fantastic day!

Thank you to all athletes and the teachers and parents who volunteered to make this a special day for all.
