Aspengrove School presents our 2019 theatrical production of two wonderful Canadian plays:

The Remarkable Flight of Marnie McPhee

Convinced she is not like the rest of her boring family, nine-year-old Marnie McPhee decides it’s time to leave Earth and take her place among the stars. But as she builds her spaceship, she realizes that maybe Earth isn’t so bad after all, even if it is filled with imperfect human families. ‘The Remarkable Flight of Marnie McPhee’ is a charming story of the infinite reaches of the imagination and the pleasure of dreaming.

My Family and Other Endangered Species

Nine-year-old Phineas interprets the world through his encyclopedic knowledge of animals, but some human behaviour is just too puzzling. My Family and Other Endangered Species is a great telling of finding hope and joy within the little things and taking small steps to bring about change on the big things.

If you would like to help with this special project, we are looking for people to help build set pieces and find props. The items needed are listed below. If you are handy with a hammer or have any of these items at home, please let me know! I would like to set aside a weekend to build/create the pieces we need.
