Clubs, Teams, & Co-Curriculars
Aspengrove School staff strive to offer our students a wide variety of extra-curricular experiences with opportunities to participate, perform and compete with other schools in the many clubs and teams.
Our dedicated staff are committed to providing a well-rounded experience to our students!
Created for students who want to further their curiosities through problem-solving, teamwork, leadership & communications, The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Club offers team and individual challenges, math and science contest preparation, and mini-lessons.
MAGIC: THE GATHERING CLUB
Did you know Magic: The Gathering is considered to be one of the most strategically complex games ever created?
The AGS Magic club welcomes anyone who would like to play! Though students are encouraged to eventually craft their own deck of cards, decks are available for students to use or borrow. As students gain confidence, there are also opportunities for us to compete at events in the wider community.
TABLE TOP GAMES
The last decade has seen an explosion of new and innovative table top games with an incredible variety of new mechanics, themes, and strategies. Table Top Games are an amazing vehicle for bringing a diversity of people together to celebrate in socializing, strategizing, and having fun. AGS is looking to create a community and culture that is welcoming, enthusiastic, and open to exploring this rapidly evolving medium.
SOCIAL ACTION CLUB
In the Social Action Club, we identify needs in our local or global communities and work together to take action. Whether it’s organizing a sandwich-making initiative for Loaves and Fishes, or advocating a worthy cause through creating Public Service Announcements, this club is for you!
The Sustainability Club aims to empower students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. We will spend time building our appreciation for nature, learning about key issues, and taking action on solutions! Activities may include beekeeping, gardening, building a Living Lab, coordinating green events, and more!
Welcome all creative crafters and art enthusiasts! This club will be customized based on your interests and aspirations. Bring your ideas, everyone is welcome, no previous skills are required!
AGS MYP/DP INTERCULTURAL CLUB
AGS MYP/DP Intercultural Club is a student-led club promoting international mindedness within the school community. We will explore different cultures through food, music, language, travel, entertainment to develop internationally minded people and bring our community together.
A great student leadership opportunity, the Sport Council allows students to be part of building and implementing an intramural program for the MYP and DP students. You will learn how to prepare for, organize and execute exciting activities while being an integral part of the athletics program as minor officials! No prior experience is necessary!
If you are interested in books and getting others interested in new books and authors, then this is the club for you! During our time together, we will be taking care of shelving books, providing book/author purchase recommendations, setting up new displays, and figuring out ways to make our Library Learning Commons work for everyone! The bonus is that you may even learn more about the LLC and new books to enjoy.
